Oleh Shevchuk [shevchuk@e-ukraine.org.ua] [www.shevchuk.in.ua]

Oleh Shevchuk was born on 2 January 1968 in Kyiv. He graduated with honours from Kyiv Technical School of Telecommunications in 1987. After graduation he served in the Armed Forces, in the Telecommunications unit. In 1994, he graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kiev with a diploma in radiophysics.
In 1990-1994 Oleh Shevchuk was elected to the Kyiv City Council.
He has been a member of the Green Party of Ukraine since 1991; later on he was appointed as the Deputy Chairman and the Chairman of the Green Party Secretariat.
In 1996-1998 - the Deputy General Director of 'UkrTelecom', the Ukrainian State Association of Electric Communications.
From September 1997 he was appointed the Head of the Board Committee for Telecommunications and Intellectual Networks of the Ukrainian Union of Manufacturers an Entrepreneurs;
From 14 February 2000 - Vice-president of the UUME
March 1998 - February 2000: was elected a National Deputy of Ukraine; the First Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada (the Parliament of Ukraine) Committee for Construction, Transport and Telecommunications; was appointed the Adviser to the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
March 1999 - July 2001 - Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Communications and Informatization. Director of the Institute of the Information Society
In 2000 Oleh Shevchuk successfully completed his candidate's dissertation 'Investment Project Risk Management'. He has an experience of business activity.

Awards: Oleh Shevchuk is a Laureate of the Ukrainian State Prize for Science and Technology and was awarded with the Order of Merits of the Third Class (1998).

He is married and has a son.

 

 

 

Olexiy Holobutsky [golob@e-ukraine.org.ua]

Born in Kyiv in 1976, Olexiy Holobutsky graduated from Ukrainian National Humanitarian Lyceum in 1993. He works for non-governmental organizations since August 1993:

  • 1993-1995 - worked in the Central Office of Ukrainian Republican Party (URP); The Head of Organization of Young Ukrainian Republicans;
  • Co-ordinator of Politics Plus magazine;
  • 1995 - 1997 - the deputy Chairman of the all-Ukrainian Association 'Zarevo' ('Glow');
  • The expert of the 'Ukrainian Perspective' Foundation;
  • The 'Foundation for Promotion of Legal and Political Reforms' project manager;
  • From 1996 - a member of the Leading Council of 'The Young Ukraine' Association;
  • 1997 - the Head of the Analytical Unit of 'The Foundation for National Security Support';
  • 1999 - a member of the Leading Council of 'The Young Ukraine' Association; the Head of Information and Analytical service; the editor of the analytic periodical 'The Young Ukraine'.
  • He is the Deputy Director of the Institute of the Information Society.

Olexiy Holobutsky is a co-author of scientific and publicistic works on history and political science, such as: 'Political Parties of Ukraine' (1996), 'Belarus Confronted with the Choice: the Democracy or Authoritarianism' (1996), Ukrainian Political Movement in Naddnipryanshchina in the late 1800s - early 1900s' (1996), 'The Elections 1998' (1997); 'The Young Ukraine: Modern Organized Youth Movement and Informal Initiative' (2000).

 

 

 

Yaroslav Pavlovsky [pavlovsky@e-ukraine.org.ua] [www.pavlovsky.in.ua]

Yaroslav Pavlovsky was born on January 14, 1976 in Zaporizhya, Ukraine. Married. He studied in the Ukrainian National Humanitarian Lyceum, the National Technical University of Ukraine (NTU-KPI).
Since 1994 Yaroslav Pavlovsky has been actively involved into public and political life as a member of the Youth Organization "Republicans of Ukraine", Kyiv-Mohyla community.
In 1995 he became the founding member of the Research Center of the Issues of the Civil Society.
Since October 1996 Yaroslav Pavlovsky is a member of the Union "Moloda Ukraina". In 1997 he participated in the work of the information and analytical service of the block "Vpered, Ukraino", and later of the Party "Reformy I Poryadok". In 1998 he became a political observer of the newspaper "Pravda Ukrainy", deputy Chief Editor of the newspaper "Metro Plus".
From June 1998 to December 1999 he was the leader of the information and analytical group of the Green Party of Ukraine. From March 1999 to December 1999 Yaroslav Pavlovsky was a member of the Chief Council of the Party "Moloda Ukraina", head of the information and analytical service of the Party.
From March 2000 to January 2001 he was an expert-analyst of Policorp, LLC. Since January 2001 he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Information Agency RATAU. He is the coauthor of the book "The ABC for a Ukrainian Politician" (Kyiv-1998). He is the Deputy Director of the Institute of the Information Society.

 

Gennady Kornev [kornev@e-ukraine.org.ua]

He was born on February 14 in Chernivtsi, Ukraine.

In 2000 he graduated from the Ukrainian National Humanitarian Lyceum. To date he is the student of the Institute of International Relations, faculty "International Law". From 1999 to 2000 he was working in the information and analytical service of the Party "Moloda Ukraina". Since 2001 he is the administrator and the coauthor of the Project "Ukrainian Network of the Information Society".

Gennady Kornev is the author of the following scientific papers: "Copyright and Similar Rights on the Software. World Experience and Ukrainian Practice", "Legal Aspects of the Internet Functioning in Ukraine". The Small Academy of Science and the Ministry of Science of Ukraine awarded his research papers.

His leisure time he spends in front of the computer or grows cactuses.
