Oleh Shevchuk Oleh Shevchuk has been appointed to the position of the Head of the State Committee for Telecommunications and Informatization by the President of Ukraine on 18 March 1999. Oleh Shevchuk was born on 2 January 1968 in Kyiv. He graduated with honours from Kyiv Technical School of Telecommunications in 1987. After graduation he served in the Armed Forces, in the Telecommunications unit. In 1994, he graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kiev with a diploma in radiophysics. In 1990-1994 Oleh Shevchuk was elected to the Kyiv City Council. He has been a member of the Green Party of Ukraine since 1991; later on he was appointed as the Deputy Chairman and the Chairman of the Green Party Secretariat. In 1996-1998 - the Deputy General Director of 'UkrTelecom', the Ukrainian State Association of Electric Communications. From September 1997 he was appointed the Head of the Board Committee for Telecommunications and Intellectual Networks of the Ukrainian Union of Manufacturers an Entrepreneurs; From 14 February 2000 - Vice-president of the UUME March 1998 - February 2000: was elected a National Deputy of Ukraine; the First Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada (the Parliament of Ukraine) Committee for Construction, Transport and Telecommunications; was appointed the Adviser to the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In 2000, Oleh Shevchuk successfully completed his candidate's dissertation 'Investment Project Risk Management'. He has an experience of business activity. Awards: Oleh Shevchuk is a Laureate of the Ukrainian State Prize for Science and Technology and was awarded with the Order of Merits of the Third Class (1998). He is married and has a son. Olexiy Holobutsky Born in Kyiv in 1976, Olexiy Holobutsky graduated from Ukrainian National Humanitarian Lyceum in 1993. He works for non-governmental organizations since August 1993: 1993-1995 - worked in the Central Office of Ukrainian Republican Party (URP); - The Head of Organization of Young Ukrainian Republicans;
