Philosophy of the Information Society in Ukraine. First attempts

Actually the visitors cannot perceive from the first sight the affinity between the development of the Information Society and the queer word "e-Ukraine".

The very idea of a new society - any society, either information, or industrial, or post-industrial, or capitalist one from the first sight does not inspire confidence in a Ukrainian reader. And no wonder! The reason for that is that only 10 years have passed since we stopped building a "communist society".

It is clear that we do not have to build the Information Society, but to live in it. E-Ukraine is much more than an Information Society. Here we face the phenomena to a great extent unknown and uninvestigated. It is a new philosophy, new way of thinking. We have only gave to it a neat name and did a first attempt to forecast events in the nearest future. People who will not be building an illusory Information Society but will just live in the country named E-Ukraine will have better grounded answers to these questions.

This web page shouldn't have been restricted only to the individual chapters of the book mentioned above. But to date we do not have any other material, which would examine this issue. In Publications you can find articles dedicated to individual aspects of the issue. This section contains articles written by Ukrainian and foreign authors.

Owing to certain legal nuances we cannot now offer you the complete electronic version of the book in Ukrainian. Those who can read in English, however, have the opportunity to get acquainted with the book online. But the possibility to read the Ukrainian version online is only a matter of time.
